It seems like adult coloring books are really popular right now. I've see studies that say that coloring is as good as meditation (and in my opinion, way more fun!) I was chosen to test out this adult coloring book. You can use this coloring book with colored pencils, pens, markers, etc. The pages are much thicker than a traditional coloring book. There are mazes and hidden objects in this coloring book also. It comes with a sheet of stickers, not really sure what the point of that is, but you could use them in the book if you wanted to.
Johanna Brasford, the author and illustrator, creates illustrations that are hand drawn and inspired by her rural hometown located in Scotland. She has a few other coloring books also, all of which are best sellers on Amazon.
I think it could be fun to use this book as an inspiration for student projects. I'd love to see the students create their own coloring pages/books. You could incorporate Zentangles into the lesson also. It would be interesting to have students go from a simple child-like coloring page to a more complicated adult page.
