Dental Tools with Clay (Majestic Bombay Dental Kit Review)



I know this is an unconventional use for dental tools, but they work so well with clay! They are so much better than the cheap needle tools that usually come with wheel throwing or hand building kits. This kit by Majestic Bombay is available on Amazon for less than $15. It's made of stainless steel, so it is very durable and well made.

The kit comes with a mirror, which is probably the least useful, unless you need to see inside of something (like the clay critter banks I make with my students). This is useful for making sure the inside of something is hollow and the edges are cleaned up.


The kit also comes with two different scraper tools with a different tool on each end (so it's like 4 tools total). They are very sharp, so I like that they also come with caps and a plastic carrying bag. These tools are excellent for mishima work!

These tools also work well for sgraffito! Overall, this is a great set either for the classroom or your personal artwork!
