Materials: old dictionary pages, watercolor paints, brushes, glue
1.) The students did a quick and simple sketch of a landscape or simple image and listed the colors and shades they would need to complete it. We used old dictionary pages and painted them with watercolor paints, using multiple shades of the same color.
2.) After the pages dried, we ripped them into small pieces.
3.) We layered the pieces on a thicker piece of paper to create the image.
