View from the Moon


Materials: black paper, white paint, gray paper, pastels, scissors, glue

1.) The students used a paintbrush to splatter white paint onto a black background.

2.) They folded a 3'' x 12'' strip of gray paper in half and drew half of a semi-circle on it and cut it out for the moon.

3.) They added craters and highlights with black and white chalk pastels.

4.) On a 6'' x 9'' piece of gray paper, they blended lots of colors!

5.) On the back of that paper, they traced 3 different sizes of circles and cut them out.

6.) They created a dark side on each planet with black pastels.

7.) They glued the planets and moon to the paper.
