Materials: unglazed white tiles, underglaze, wooden scratch tools, clear overglaze
1.) I had the students create stencils and make at least 2 different designs by overlapping them.
2.) They chose one color of underglaze and painted 3 coats on their tile (letting it dry between each coat!)
3.) Using their stencils, the students scratched their designs into the tile with wooden skewers. They completely scratched the underglaze away in some areas.
