Mixed Media Collage with Transparency Paper

Materials: transparency paper, watercolor paper, magazines, Sharpies, glue, watercolor paints, tissue paper, etc.

I'm really excited how these turned out! I gave them to my art homeroom with minimal directions and they did some really neat things!

1.) Using magazines, the students traced images and patterns onto their transparency paper with thick and thin Sharpie markers.

2.)We used watercolor paints, diffusing tissue paper, sequins, markers, pencil, collage, etc to create a background on tagboard. The students used a light table to trace some of their sharpie designs.

3.) We used spray fixative to glue the transparency paper to the tagboard.
