Materials: 2'' tagboard squares, index cards cut in half, pencils, markers, exacto knives, construction paper, glue
1.) We cut out stencils from 2'' tagboard squares.
2.) The students used the stencils on index cards cut in half to create small, interesting compositions.
3.) Students created about 6 of these small compositions.
4.) The students chose their favorite four compositions and colored the negative space black.
5.) They chose a color scheme for the rest of the composition.
6.) The compositions were glued to a piece of construction paper.
