Tissue Paper Bleed Snowmen

Materials: white paper (tagboard works well), pencils, sharpie markers, white crayons, tissue paper that bleeds, spray bottle

1. Students drew their snowmen on white tagboard with pencils.

2. They outlined everything with sharpie marker.

3. They used white crayon to add snow in the background and on the ground. The white crayon acts as a resist.

4. They got the entire paper wet with a paintbrush.

5. They layered tissue paper on their drawing, using a paintbrush to help it stick. This will stain fingers!! They sprayed the drawing 5-10 times with a spray bottle to saturate the tissue paper.

After the tissue paper dried, they took it off! The colors are so rich and bright!
