I'm so excited! My kiln arrived a few days ago...
I bought the D28S-3 from L&L. I chose this particular kiln for a few reasons...
*I like the hard element holders in L&L kilns. It is much easier to change elements and they don't get damaged as easily as soft brick.
*The size was right for me. It's 28'' round by 18'' diameter. I don't make tall work, and I was looking for something that would be easy for me to load since I am 5'2''. The kiln has 6.8 cubic feet of space which is a good size for me. There is an excellent article in the Nov/Dec 2009 edition of Pottery Making Illustrated that shows just how much a kiln will hold.
I purchased my kiln from BigCeramicStore.com. They had the best price. It took about a month to get to my house.
I can't wait to try it out!
